The speakers themselves are from a wide variety of communities and disciplines and have included such people as former US president Bill Clinton, nobel laureate James D. C’est bizarre à dire… mais cette présentation stastitique de 20 minutes est époustouflante et inspirante. Imaginez avoir ce prof à l’école.

Great interactive map.
Interesting part of the world.
I think we'll be hearing more and more about it as it becomes exploited for it's massive oil resources.
Excerpts:
"Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan have substantial gas reserves, but lack of pipeline capacity limits exports."
"Kazakhstan has the second largest oil and gas reserves in the region, behind Russia. Its oil production has more than doubled since 1999 and the government hopes to triple this by 2015."
Some of those countries may suddenly become part of the « rogue countries group ».
Extract:… Analysts say the two sides are signalling they are prepared to counter US dominance in international affairs….
Interesting article… Makes me feel lucky I was born during peaceful times. Sounds like Huntington’s Clash of Civilizations article of 1993: http://www.alamut.com/subj/economics/misc/clash.html
If you never read this… a great article.
Don’t get me wrong.. I’m not a pessimist or a fatalist. I just think we are lucky to live through these peacefull times
