Battlestar Galactica is a dark, sexy, political Sci-Fi show. True! The actors are not the best. True! They don’t have enough budget for the HUGE, complex story they want to draw us in….. But it’s the best sci-fi out there. I haven’t been hooked on a series like this, since Six Feet Under. They are totally different series…yes!… but they both have a flawed human side to them that make one fall in love with the characters.

The president, Starbuck, Adama… they are all really bad actors.
The special effects are good. But if they had more budget, they would have more actors. They have to use a small number of actors and they end up doing things they would not “normally” do… like count the votes during the election, become a private detective to spy on the mafia… it’s just weird and dilutes the characters. Gives them less depth.
But all this is part of why I like the series
Season 1 is twice as fun as season 2.
